Modeling can be a cutthroat business - but we don’t want that to be the vibe on our team. We’re not fostering an environment where we pitting you against your teammates. We want the collection of creatives to bring out the best artist in all of us!
Respect over Ambition
Everyone deserves to be treated with respect: their voices and ideas heard, time and work honored, and their talent and skill celebrated! We want to see that attitude reflected in all our members more than we want to see them climbing over their teammates.
Participation over Perfection
None of us is perfect, as a human or as a creative. But we’re not looking for you to show up as the best. We’re looking for you to show up as your best - and to give us your best every time we’re creating. Throw your energy and ideas in the pot!
Dependability over Talent
Talent is important, and it’s not like we’re not looking for talented models. But if we had to choose between someone who dazzles in front of the camera and someone who shows up for the team every time, we’re always going to choose the latter.
What to Expect
Application
When an audition window opens (three to four times a year), just click a slot time and fill out the application! That’s all you have to do! If auditions are closed when you’re visiting us, feel free to send us an email to let us know you’re interested.
Individual Audition
The first round of auditions is an individual audition. We’ll communicate the location and a simple theme to you well in advance so you’ll have time to prepare. Join us for photos and a short interview, and bring your most authentic self - it’s your best and most important asset!
Group Audition
If you make it through the first round, you’ll join everyone else who auditioned throughout the year at a big group shoot in November. We’ll be looking for things like responsiveness, spatial awareness, and your vibe with our team and the others auditioning!
If you’re selected after the group audition,
you’ll officially receive an offer to join the MFAC Modeling Team!

No! First time models and those looking to get their start are absolutely welcome, and many have made the team in the past! We’re excited to help you grow!

Nope. Neither models nor photographers are paid for their participation in the team. We’re not a business - we’re an art collective. However, models do provide their own outfits for shoots.

Our teams shoot once every other month, usually on a Saturday, for 2-3 hours at a time. We shoot two looks or themes at each shoot. For the ladies team, we plan to provide an hour for hair and make-up changes between looks.

We ask you to commit for the year, January to December. We understand that circumstances can change, but our schedule is planned around the calendar year.

All models are allowed to keep and share publicly any photos that they are featured in. If you plan to use them for commercial purposes, such as submitting to an agency, advertising an event, eta., we only ask that you check with Paul first, as he holds the legal copyright on all the photos.
